The Extraordinary Actions of Corporations

In the 1990's for profit businesses spent a shocking amount of money checking and rewriting the computer code that controlled their business process. It seemed to me that the financial industry spent the most time and money, but I have not seen a study comparing Y2K work done by industry. Please share your experience addressing the Y2K problem in the for profit business world.
